MEI of Oriental

Asian American Mei Teachy, living in Oriental, North Carolina, discovers a new version of herself after the death of her beloved husband, William. A year after his death, Mei meets Joe Mahoney, a South Carolina attorney on sabbatical from life after the death of his wife and son. Drawn together by their losses, Mei and Joe's blossoming love is as romantic as it is suspenseful. Mei, who struggles with the loss of her husband along with trying to keep family jewels out of the hands of the Chinese government, finds comfort in Joe, whose expertise in international law leads her on a journey to find answers.

Emotionally complex and charged with suspense, MEI of Oriental is the story of two people finding a connection to a secret kept well-hidden until an encounter begins to unravel an unsolved family mystery in the small town of Oriental.
