A Black queer coming of age memoir set in New York City in the 1970s and 1980s chronicling the journey of a resilient Trinidadian-American girl and her lifelong quest to become comfortable with her identity and spirituality after escaping an abusive background. A tale of coming out and becoming secure in simply being enough as is. The story traverses the globe detailing her many experiences stationed around the world while in the Army and all the supernatural encounters God used to show her she was always on the right path.
