Dedicated to master filmmaker Billy Wilder, MONKEY ISLAND: A Comic Noir pays homage to both sides of the Writer/Director's ouevre from the classic film noir Double Indemnity to the ridiculously sublime comedies such as Some Like it Hot.

From the dust-jacket: All Johnny wanted after getting out of prison was his dog. Oh, and to get laid. But first he wanted his dog. After his conviction for cooking the books, Johnny knew finding a job as an accountant might be difficult, but finding his dog was proving harder than he'd imagined. Along the way to recovering his pooch, Johnny is offered a job. Mistaken for a hitman, Johnny is hired by the sultry, enigmatic Natalee Farrelli. Natalee, a trophy wife gathering dust, has learned that her husband is about to dump her for a younger woman. Johnny decides to take Natalee's up-front money, with no intention of earning the balance. Unfortunately, Johnny falls hopelessly in love... Like Orpheus and Eurydice, will Johnny venture to the Gates of Hades for Natalee in this mythic tale of greed, murder and passion?
