Mort's Tale

Mort has dreamed about life beyond his family's farm for as long as he can remember. One day, while traveling with his father, Roland, to the port city of Arboreal, Mort is accompanied by a band of warriors. Among them is an heiress named Claire, with whom Mort forms a fast friendship. Mort finds himself tempted onto a path different from what his family expects of him. Could he, the son of a farmer, ever make it as a soldier? And would his family ever forgive him?
