Move Toward the Gunfire: A Cardiac Surgeon's Journey Through the Valley of the Shadow of Death

A cardiac surgeon's daily descent into the Valley of the Shadow of Death involves high-stakes battle in which the plunder is human life. Few chosen careers can so predictably and deeply wound, and yet few provide a battlefield experience that so vividly displays the love and faithfulness of Jesus Christ. His promise is that He will be there, back-to-back with us in the fury of the fight.
