When you want to make your mark, an occasion with all the trimmings is just the ticket. The village of Beeting Down has a centenarian in its midst, but when she shuffles off this mortal coil before they can wish her happy birthday, it is bound to be a bit of bother. 

It will be a close run thing if the villagers can pull a the whole thing off without the Police Inspector getting wind of the swindle. That the deal involves the Tripe club and the Trotter Epicureans plus a Vicar with more get up and go than a pig on the butchers block just adds to the zany, high spirited shenanigans.
