Murder One

The Contrary Crowcast: a paranormal podcast produced by three women: the mysterious Mickey Crow Lamotte, one-armed and abandoned at birth; reluctant socialite Pris Salamanca; and mad scientist Melissa "Mo" McLeod.

In SHIVER, Mickey and Pris meet Mo while investigating the midnight disappearance of a lifeguard trainee along a lonely stretch of Shell Beach, Massachusetts. As the body count increases, Mo refuses to believe the culprit could be one of her beloved sharks, even though her father once went into the water and never returned.

In FORMLESS, the three team up with AI raven Ek and a few friends to go undercover at Fright Island Theme Park, off the Connecticut coast, where their advanced augmented-reality system is making people sick-and then someone dies. Nothing is what it seems, including the illusory monsters on the island, one of which appears to be real.

BONUS: In "TUSK," Mickey and Pris go on a one-day jaunt to the abandoned site of Zahnville, Connecticut, searching for Bigfoot, or whatever has been causing enigmatic illnesses and vanishings for hundreds of years. But what they find is something they never imagined.

In METAL, the whole gang from Formless reunites at Unieda Corporation outside of Boston for a robot rumble. Their friends' award-winning robots are going up against Unieda's spider-dog hybrid robots. Unieda has their own reason for luring Mickey there, and as the robot rumble goes sideways, an old enemy appears.
