My Doctor Looks Like Me

Seeing a role model that are adult versions of yourself can do wonders for the psyche of a child. This book is the first of a series of children's books that will motivate and inspire kids of different races to aspire to professions otherwise considered out of reach. Sebastian has doubts about becoming a doctor because he thinks he is not enough. A visit to his new pediatrician alters his young life. For the first time in his life, he meets a doctor that looks like him. Sebastian sees the doctor as an adult version of himself and imagines himself as a doctor in a white coat. This chance meeting gives him the inspiration he needs to feel good about himself and pursue his dreams. Meeting the doctor left an indelible impression on the young boy.
