My Heritage, My Destiny

This book is for people who don't know the meaning or the price of freedom. A young girl and her family struggles to get out of Latvia during WWII and lives as refugees in war torn Germany. Not knowing when or if the next bit of food is coming or where the next bomb will fall, is a test of their endurance. These trials and tribulations contribute to their strength to survive and start life over in America.

It is also the story of a young girl and later a woman in search of love. When the young girl falls prey to a predator, it changes her life forever.

She perseveres through rejections but earns her education by determination and hard work.

Later she returns to the still Communist controlled Latvia, and saw just how terrible her extended family and all Latvians suffered the years of occupation.
