My Sweet Lady

My Sweet Lady is the true story of a rescued dog and how she enhanced the lives of two special needs young adults. Lady was a German Shepherd mix who connected with the family in a unique and heartwarming way. It is about fleeing a wildfire, relocating to a ranch at the edge of a wilderness, interacting with wild creatures, and adding horses, goats, other dogs and a cat to the menagerie. It is also a love story about a hardworking man with calloused hands and a loving spirit and a woman who chopped firewood in long velvet skirts. It is the sweet story of the Schaefer family and their adventures with their animals.
