"My Velvet Elvis is a memoir that centers on the experiences the writer had with certain animals. Ruth L Kirk, in her book, revealed a lot about these animals such as their nature, how she adopted them, what she felt about them, the roles they played in her life, and some qualities they had. I was amazed when I read the part of the book that the writer revealed the effect a particular animal had on her. This animal made her take a tremendous step. You can only discover this by reading the book. The positive comments I've made...proves that it deserves a perfect rating. Therefore, I'm rating it four
out of four stars."
