Narayaneeya Kathamritham

"Narayaneeyam" is a famous classic by Sri. Melpathoor Narayana Bhatttathiri in praise of Lord Guruvayoorappan, for obtaining relief from his serious illness due to arthritis. It is a custom to recite shlokas from this book regularly to get relief from diseases and other difficult situations in life. "Narayaneeyam" is in the form of Sanskrit Shlokas, narrating stories of Sri Krishna, from the epic Bhagavatham, including descriptions of Lord's handsome figure and His Avatars. This book is a humble attempt to render the content of Narayaneeyam in simple Malayalam prose, in the form of stories understandable by everyone. These stories embed moral principles highlighting the need for an excellent character and value system. All of us are duty-bound to uphold the dignity of our nation by incorporating the values from our cultural heritage in our own lives and by imparting these to the upcoming generations.
