This publication is the first of a series of annual reference works covering drugs that have received regulatory approval during the previous year. This first volume, New Drugs 2001 contains descriptions of the more than 100 new drugs from 30 therapeutic categories that have been approved (or approved for major new uses) in the last several years. A brief introduction to each class of drugs provides highlights of recent developments in drug development and marketing for the corresponding disease category.
