New York, Summer, 2001

This is the story of the adventures of 27 year-old James St. Claire, an author of moderate success, from the time he's released from the mental hospital in early June to that fateful day in early September. James experiences all that New York, 2001 has to offer, from after-hours cocaine speakeasies, hanging out with rock-stars, the art scene, to sub-culture parades. His guide though this world is the "fabulous" Eliza Lords Wright. All the while he longs for his lost love, the eidetic Carolyn Payne.
