Descendants of warriors and whalers, the Quileute Tribe of today's LaPush have an uneasy truce with the U.S. government. They proudly assert their sovereignty. In the rhythms of their drum circles, one hears the cadence of a tribe expressing its cultural history in the heroic march of its people.
