ABOUT THE AUTHORGeraldine graduated from ECSU with a BS Degree in Music Education and received her first job as Music Supervisor for Hertford County Public Schools in North Carolina.
After Patrick H. Tyrance, Sr., graduated from college, he was hired by Western Electric as a Supervisor. He was always a very caring, loving, focused, supportive husband and father.
Together Patrick and Geraldine (married 46 years) had two children: Patrick H. Tyrance, Jr, "F3," Chinita Tyrance "F4," four grandchildren: Patrick III, Terrell, TyIsha and Jordan; Patrick & Geraldine also have four great-children, Kyalinn, Julian, Terrell Jr. and Mariah.
Patrick and Geraldine were one of several family members who graduated from Elizabeth City State. During the early 1950's Mrs. Annie Stephenson-Vaughan "F6," Geraldine's mother also graduated from ECS Normal School.
