No Room for Love

No Room For Love is a play for five men and four women. Dr Garfield arrives at the somewhat seedy Lawns Hotel in the hope of spending an enjoyable, if discreet, visit with his attractive receptionist, Michele. Unfortunately, however, his wife is the harpist in an orchestra also visiting the hotel, which makes his excuse of a golfing excursion difficult to sustain. In addition, the hotel's poor system of room registration results in a hectic evening for the Garfields, Michele, a young newly-wed couple, a horn player and his alcoholic wife, who find themselves in and out of the bridal suite (and the bridal bed) and other rooms, in a wild confusion of mistaken identities, furious confrontations, and hectic misunderstanding, further complicated by a perfume-obsessed manager, a belligerent porter and assorted musical instruments.
