Think about the value of how we represent ourselves online. Now imagine walking into a police station and finding that officers are unable or uninterested in doing anything for you. Imagine this feeling lasting for the rest of your life. Nobody's Victim is an introduction to the legal frontier of online harassment, sexual assault, and blackmail. It will explore Carrie Goldberg's biggest cases in the fields of revenge porn, online privacy invasions, trolling, harassment, and defamation. It will explain everyone's cyber civil rights, and how the law may or may not be on your side. I will also describe the ways in which we can all practice safe tech, how we as a society can learn to trust and protect victims of all backgrounds, how we can push criminalization to keep pace with modern life, and how any of us can use the legal tools we already have to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe.
