Notes And Stories Of Our Culture is a collection of notes and short stories that follows history from about 1750 to present and beyond. This book is filled with stories (some almost true) that characterize people in a brief moment of time, a summer, a week or afternoon, usually to ascribe a feature of human morality, a shocking consequence or a way of culture. Many stories include physical or historical facts and are inspired by life in the Midwest and Oliver's home town of Belmond, Iowa.
