Once upon a time in the spring

Irina Chaykovskaya's book includes selected short stories and plays written since 2000, related to the three countries in which Irina lived - Russia, Italy and the USA. The book also includes works about Russian writers of the 19th century - Herzen, Turgenev, and Nekrasov. One of the plays ("Scenes in Paradise") is devoted to three extraordinary women - Avdotya Panaeva, Polina Viardot and Lily Brik.
