We are living in a pandemic which is taking the lives of the most vulnerable, and has also led to the loss of livelihood on a scale we have not seen before which will only worsen. It has shown the importance of physical health, that those who are lacking are most likely to succumb to it. It has also exposed how fragile our spiritual health is. The symptoms of this we see in how as a people, we are struggling to cope with the changes in our life situations and societies. In this crisis we see the need for good physical health and more importantly, spiritual health, to be able to cope with adversity. More than coping with adversity, most in this hour are hopeless, but there is hope. There is something to look forward to beyond the loved ones lost, the livelihood lost, and the not so bright future. You see, in the scripture we read, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." 3 John 2. God wishes that we be in good health physically and most importantly, spiritually. The principles that lead to good physical health are the same that lead to spiritual health. They have a physical and a spiritual aspect, but it is the same principles. Understanding what it takes to be in good physical health helps us to better understand what it takes to be in good spiritual health, which in turn helps us to understand that there is hope, even beyond all the things that are happening. In this book is the attempt to explain these principles, and that we have hope beyond what appears to be a hopeless future.
