That is how a love story started. That love is what holds one up and inspires a person to take a risk. A story told in soulful poems and prose inspired by the works of Ray Bradbury, Shel Silverstein, Dr. Seuss, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Sylvia Plath, Scott Blasey, Gene Collier, Johnny Cash, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Homer, and Leonard Cohen.
This is a collection of heartfelt poetry, poems, prose and related work. This collection made of non-traditional poetry or free verse. It does not follow the rules of stanza, meter or rhyme. It breaks away from these traditions in order to allow for an sincere authentic artistic expression.
Josiah Golojuh is not a poet. He is a writer. His novel The Paper Boy was published in 2024 from Stag Beetle Books. Oscar-nominated writer of Little Children Tom Perotta said, "The Paper Boy is a clever and suspenseful contribution to the superhero genre. Josiah Golojuh will keep you guessing and make you think at the same time." Josiah has a Master's Degree in Screenwriting from USC where he studied under the late Coleman Hough. Coleman lived her life as poetry, expressed in her work for Steven Soderbergh in the films Full Frontal and the experimental Bubble.
Although Coleman Hough encouraged him to write poetry, she didn't actually teach him how to do it. This volume is an expression of art and freedom. An exploration of form, function, of characters, feelings and so much more. He hopes you find inspiration here, if he can do it, so can you. Write poem, tell stories, sing songs, make art.
