One Punk Summer captures the essence of the times that made people from all over the country and the world want to come to Austin, Texas. This is a story of the seminal years before the tech industry and gentrification altered Austin's landscape permanently. The characters have a blast in a still undeveloped Austin discovering punk, partying, leaving home, and scratching out a living with all kinds of comical odd jobs. They create their own world and manage to put a demo tape together, struggle with too much booze and too much dope, love, and senseless loss. But in the end, they pull it all together and get a gig at the legendary Raul's Club on Guadalupe Street near UT.
