Only Fourteen Days

When Danny and Jen went to sleep Wednesday night they had no idea how their lives would change. They had no idea what tomorrow would bring. They had no idea who each other were, because Danny lived in Chicago and Jen lived in Los Angeles. They had never met. Danny came from a successful family of Lawyers and Jen from a well to do family of Doctors. Both were recent college graduates and had a firm grip on what was next. Both were focused and driven with Thursday's itinerary well in place. But forces bigger than either of them had other plans. Things would change rapidly, that would close the two-thousand-mile gap between them and have them staying in the same hotel room Thursday night. Their adventure over the next fourteen days would involve the Russians, The Brotherhood, the FBI, The Archdiocese of Chicago, The Chicago judicial system, Big Lou's Diner, Two hospitals, Maya, Margaret, and the best food Jen ever ate. Nothing could dilute the chemistry that developed at first sight. One look at her and he was interested. One look at him and she thought, "He will do". Ok, maybe not the chemistry we were hoping for, but a great start. And miracles, did I forget to mention the miracles?
