Onryo

In the suburbs of Tokyo, trapped in a house that is not his own, an unnamed man waits, waits again for the wrath of a vengeful spirit - Onryo. The sin that demands punishment is not his, not entirely, but still he must bear the brunt of the suffering. Speaking into an old tape recorder, trying to warn others about what lurks within, he recounts the events of his life: at university in the 'swinging sixties' and his relationship with the volatile Selena; his work in Japan, where he meets Yuzuki, a woman mysteriously outcast from family and friends; and his eventual rise to riches and influence, a man of consequence. But something is missing, something he craves yet denies - companionship. Fatefully, he seeks out a companion on the internet, trawling the ranks of the lonely on dating websites. Here, he encounters Hatsuko Himura, and the dark die is cast, the curse is unleashed - the curse of Onryo.
