Samantha Barrett is on a mission in Sweden with another CIA officer. Posing as siblings, their job is to get close to a member of the royal family. But will a colleague from the past distract Sam?

After having difficulty making contact with the princess, Sam calls someone who might be able to help. John Burke jumps at the chance to help her, but his involvement in this operation becomes more than what Sam asked for. Distant memories and feelings rise to the surface for both of them.

Sam needs to stay focused on her mission, which is to get close to the princess and garner an invitation to a party where an Iranian national will be in attendance. He is the endgame to this op. A simple snatch and grab. But nothing is ever simple as Sam needs to keep her feelings for John and Princess Sonja in check.

"Um...is your room up here?"
Sam smiled, went to another door a little down the hall and opened it. Sonja turned to her bodyguard and said, "I can handle this." He stayed in the hall as Sonja walked inside and Sam closed the door behind her. "Seems like a good party," Sonja said taking her uniform off. Sam watched her undress which is exactly what Sonja wanted.
"Yeah. Good party," Sam said lost in her own thoughts. She didn't take her eyes off Sonja. "What do you do in the Navy?"
"I'm a...Lieutenant Commander. Equal to a Major in the US Air Force."
"That's your rank. What do you do? Your job," Sam said it in Swedish as Sonja slowly slipped on a pair of jeans. "Nice legs," Sam commented softly following the jeans up as they covered Sonja's long legs.
But Sonja preferred to speak in English. "I can't tell you." She smiled as she pulled her jeans over her hips. She left them unzipped and unbuttoned and walked over to Sam. Standing very close to Sam she leaned over close to Sam's ear and whispered, "It's a secret." Sonja slowly moved her mouth along Sam's cheek to her mouth and brushed her lips giving her a soft quick kiss.
"Oh. We call that secret squirrel. Intelligence," Sam whispered back.
"Yes. Secret squirrel. I like that. But I'm kidding. I'm just in administration. They wouldn't let me do anything like Intelligence."
"You forgot to put your shirt on," Sam said.
"Did I?" Sonja smiled and kissed Sam again backing her against the door.
Sam kissed her back and moved her hands over Sonja's bare skin starting at her waist. Although Sonja initiated the encounter Sam took control and turned Sonja, so she was leaning against the door as they continued to kiss. Sonja kept her eyes closed as Sam moved her kisses down her neck. She settled on the notch in between Sonja's clavicle as one hand moved up to Sonja's bra. But then Sam stopped.

Between a partner that asks too many questions, the return of the man who nearly ruined her marriage, and a crippling fear of boats, how is Sam going to complete this assignment?
