Miller Rhinelander has writer's block!
Nine months after his mother's passing Miller finally decides to head back to Chicago to deal with selling the family's estate. Considering he was in a funk and he was already past deadline for his eighth novel, now was as good a time as any.
When he arrives at his childhood home he meets Jessie, the young woman who had been taking care of the home while waiting for Miller to return from New York. Her free spirit and vibrant personality clashes with Miller's rigid, nomadic and cynical lifestyle.
Sparks really fly when Jessie announces that she has information pertaining to Miller's wife who was murdered seven years earlier.
Jessie agrees to help Miller get the house ready for sale. That is if they can find a way to get along.
Miller is a lost soul. Jessie is a kindred spirit.
