Pairing of Polarities: The Life and Art of Sonya Rapoport

A retrospective including essays by different authors about Sonya Rapoport's art career. Rapoport was continuously on the cutting edge of American art as she moved from abstract expressionism to more conceptual and digital art. Editor Terri Cohn (who is also a co-curator of the two upcoming retrospective shows) calls Rapoport a "systems conceptual artist"; Rapoport's work involves botanical, scientific, technological, feminist, Jewish, and sociopolitical themes.
