Pandemic Influenza

This paper examines influenza pandemics and the operational readiness implications they brings to the US military. The paper will examine a historical example of a pandemic that had devastating effects on the military; the Spanish Flu of 1918. Pandemic predictive models will show how an influenza pandemic will affect military operational readiness. And finally, the paper will discuss ways to mitigate a pandemic's effects on operational readiness.
