Parenting Plan: Preparation is Key

Good parenting helps foster empathy, honesty, self-reliance, self-control, kindness, cooperation, and cheerfulness. It also promotes intellectual curiosity, motivation, and desire to achieve. It helps protect children from developing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, anti-social behavior, and alcohol and drug abuse. There are so many things that we need to teach our children before they leave home and its best if we can start early. What life offers can change daily. There's a lot for them to keep up with today like technology, school, work, etc. Why not make the road ahead an easier one? The more they know about life skills the less they will have to learn the hard way. The good news is, all of the parenting skills can be learned and improved upon through a variety of mediums, including: books, videos, parenting classes, coaching and/or counselors.
