Pastoral Theology

This work is offered as an exhibit of theology undergirding a former era of pastoral ministry in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. As an example of pastoral practice by our Lutheran fathers, the book serves as a meaningful historical frame of reference for pastoral work today.The 3rd edition addresses important topics such as the pastor's inner self, the pastoral office, preaching, church officers, and stewardship. It fosters a new resolve to restudy the divine principles for pastoral work with a view toward formulating contemporary applications to the spiritual needs of modern man.
