Path to Revenge

Path to Revenge, the second novel in Prosecutor Nick Drummond’s legal thriller trilogy, begins with Drummond facing a grand jury probe for murder for the death of a cartel chief. Drummond avoids indictment when the jury finds out that he was gravely wounded fending off cartel hitmen. After the near indictment, Drummond and task force members go to South America to track down the cartel leader who directed the murder of a deputy U.S. Marshal.

The leader spearheads the cartel’s venture to set up a distribution network to transport pure cocaine by submarine to North America. In South America, the leader meets Elin, a freespirited professor on sabbatical. At her urging, the leader undergoes a 4-day Ayahuasca inner-quest ceremony in the Amazon jungle.
