Peathill:The Auld Kirk and Kirkyard

There has been a church at Peathill, near Rosehearty, since the 17th century. The ruins of the old church and the gravestones which surround it reflect the changes in the local community which have taken place over the centuries. The gravestones tell the fascinating story of Peathill's links with the Covenanters, the Jacobites, the American War of Independence and the impact of two World Wars.
