John 9:1-3 "And as Jesus passed by, He saw a man which was blind from his birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him." This passage was one of my little nephew Michael's favorite Bible passages. Right before Michael's death, he told his mom that he thought that he was like the blind man.In Pieces of the Puzzle, Tom Poteet leads the reader through a series of discoveries based on life experiences and Bible study. He shares what he has learned from the private and public sector in a way that gives testimony to what he has read and studied. Poteet wrote Pieces of the Puzzle with his nephew, Michael, on his mind. While Michael was battling a deadly blood disease, Poteet read, studied and prayed as much as he could so that he could get close enough to our Heavenly Father to convince Him to save Michael's life. He found, through all of his prayers and study, that our Heavenly Father is no respecter of persons; and Michael eventually succumbed to the disease. But, when he finally looked up, he found that Michael had led him to a much better understanding of our Heavenly Father and to his Master. Michael did indeed lead Poteet to those very Works of God that are explained in this book as pieces of the infinite puzzle. Without Michael's guidance, he would have never realized those wonders in life that give peace and that make life so joyful . . . even when going through some very hard times.
