Pieces of the Whole

The first in a new series about a possible future that may not be as far away as some might think. The year is 2074. California has been divided into seven regions, which are governed by leaders of international corporations. New legislation has been created in an effort to control over-population, but some powerful individuals are taking advantage of the situation and society's unwanted people are disappearing as a result. A new division has been created by the state to investigate the shocking rise of missing and unidentified persons, while those who write the laws are working to undermine those endeavors.
