When one child is found and another is lost, a British police detective is pulled into a dark underworld as she tries to find a connection . . . DS Jan Pearce has become the go-to for missing persons caseseven though she has yet to find her son who disappeared. So when an abandoned toddler in a stroller is found in an alleyway, Jan is put in charge. She doesnt yet know that the little girls mother, Lisa, is being manipulated by a criminal gang. All Lisa wants is her child back. When another kid is abducted, the events, at first, dont seem to be linked. Lisa, however, knows otherwise.
