John Baeder (b 1938) is an internationally recognized photorealist painter.Originally attracted to the classic images of family-run businesses and old black-and-white photographs of downtown vistas, Baeder has spent most of his career depicting these beloved but unpretentious scenes.Before the dawn of corporate fast-food, American travellers looked to the roadside diner to provide them with a taste of home-away-from-home.
