Before, there was nothing. Then, there was light. It was like lighting a million LED candles in a haze. And then the three characters appeared: first Betty, an obese 17-year-old girl, then Annabelle, a beautiful 42-year-old woman, a successful professional, and finally Edward, a very depressed man around 50. The three characters, as dissimilar as they are unknown, have entered the delusional head of the writer John Phillips, who orders them to act to develop the plot of his novel. With that, a plot begins, that emerges as the characters interrelate, always in conflict with the author, who wants to dominate them, which the others do not. Permanently monitored by him, the three face successive pressing circumstances until they find themselves involved in an unthinkable intrigue. Neither the author, nor Scriptor, his universal narrator, know in advance where the action is going, which makes the plot that unfolds like a spider weaves its web very unpredictable. As time goes by, the three characters discover that their individual lives have long been linked, without their knowledge, to a global financial conspiracy. Always governed by their very particular personalities, they solve the problems they are faced with, which leads them to create an emotional community that is completely unexpected. Over and over again they try to escape the author's clutches and practically force him to play along with them. Neither the novelist nor the narrator know what is going to happen in their story. It is a delirious experiment in which the characters have been left the task of creating the plot. In the end, with great cunning, the three manage to discover the fraud and punish those involved in it. By the way, they know love.
