Poetic Freedom

A collection of poems written by Mario Finesse Wright during his incarceration takes one on an intoxicating and heart-wrenching ride through experiences of racism, imprisonment, poverty, addiction, and criminality. Wright finds solace and purpose through writing about his life's raw yet beautiful struggle. Why beautiful? Because they ultimately become tools for mental and spiritual growth. These poems don't focus on prison solely, but on the prison state he realized he was born into and sickly fell in love with. At last, a broken heart finds freedom in poetry.
