Porcelain Garden

In conjunction with its reopening, following its 202025 renovation, The Frick Collection commissioned arrangements of porcelain flowers from Ukrainian sculptor Vladimir Kanevsky that evoke the fresh flowers displayed throughout the museum when it first opened to the public, in 1935. Kanevskys lifelike porcelain flowers have been exhibited in museums around the world, including the State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens in Washington, DC. With an essay by Xavier F. Salomon and exquisite photography, this book documenting Kanevskys 20 extraordinary creations is a lasting souvenir of a unique installation at the Frick.
