Post-Apartheid Education

This book was born out of the author's conviction that parents, teachers, academics, students and democratically-minded citizens of South Africa need a new educational policy framework capable of restoring hope to education and schools. The author describes the nature of South Africa's educational history, as well as its current crises, and examines crucial events in its breakdown. This study is intended as a contribution to the current debates about education in South Africa, offering alternative and hopeful visions grounded in real suggestions for change and improvement.
