Prayers in Thompson or Ntlakapmah

A rare glimpse into the spiritual practices of the First Nations people of British Columbia, this book contains prayers, hymns, and other devotional materials in the Ntlakapmah language. It was compiled and translated by a French linguist, Jean-Marie-Raphaël Le Jeune, who became an advocate for the rights of Indigenous peoples. This edition includes a new preface contextualizing the work within the history of Indigenous language preservation efforts.
