Precious Heritage

In this book The Nature Conservancy has pulled together the best available database on the biodiversity of the United States. Drawing upon the records of the 50 State Heritage Programs and the Nature Conservancy's offical synthesis of their own data and research on the status of biodiversity within the US, the book is a summary and analysis of the status of biodiversity in the US, aimed at the general reader and professionals as well. The Nature Conservancy is tha largest non-profit association dedicated to the environment with over 800,000 members, and has not previously published a book with this wide a range. They hope that this book will consistute a major part of their public image and contribution to the problem of threatened biodiversity.
