International Cultural Exchange plays a great role on African continent to promote national history, unique old traditions that survived thousands of years and contributes to wildlife nature preserving. Tourism in Uganda is mainly linked to Uganda's wildlife but also its landscapes. It is one of the main sectors of employment and investment. Finally, it is one of the main sources of foreign exchange, contributing 4.9 billion Ugandan shillings (1.88 billion US dollars or 1.4 billion euros in August 2013) to Uganda's GDP during of the 2012-13 financial year. Tourism contributes to the fight against poverty in Uganda, particularly through the employment of Ugandan nationals as drivers, guides, secretaries, accountants, etc. Tourism can also be used to promote arts and crafts and traditional clothing. The main tourist attractions in Uganda are the national game parks, game reserves, traditional sites and natural rainforests.
