Psychopathology of Hysteria

A pioneering and controversial study of the psychological and medical aspects of hysteria, written by Charles D. Fox, a British psychiatrist of the early 20th century. Fox argues that hysteria, a disorder characterized by emotional and physical symptoms such as anxiety, paralysis, and dissociation, is caused by a combination of unconscious conflicts, social pressures, and suggestibility. He also proposes a new treatment approach based on suggestion and hypnosis.
