At the opening of this one act play male model Hillary Proctor wakes up lying in a space hibernation capsule with his long-time girlfriend, high profile corporation head, Sandra Ramsden, lying in a capsule next to him. Hillaray's first concern is that he might miss the party that evening but when the computer informs him what the time is and what month and day it is he is relieved. He soon discovers, however, that ten years have passed since he and Sandra were placed in hibernation and that Sandra's instruction to the computer had been that they were not to be awakened until the woman that Hilary had intended to announce his marriage to at the party had married someone else. Sandra argues that Hillary had given her clear indication that he had wanted her to save him from that marriage and when she agrees, which she had always refused to do before, to have children with him, they have the computer (the only other entity on the spaceship they are on) marry them.
