Mission, TX- (Release Date TBD) - It was supposed to be a sweet memory in author Zita Noyola Wirsche's life as a child-until a dark, stinky hole took away her most prized possession. Released through Xlibris, "Quin Huele a Caca?" Who Smells Like Poop? recounts an embarrassing incident in her life as a child, shared through an amusing narrative with a humorous poke to all young readers.
When she was a child, Zita's parents could not afford to take her to town to buy her clothes and shoes. It was a good thing that Mr. Gorgonio, the village traveling salesman, came to their little village in Abram, Texas, to sell his goods. One day, the young Wirsche anxiously waited for Mr. Gorgonio's car to drive through their little ranchito. Her mother had made her a very pretty cotton dress but she did not have nice looking shoes to go along with it. After much begging and insisting, her mother reluctantly bought her a pair of red shoes-complementing the nice dress she would wear at her school's Easter party.
So came the much-awaited day, but after running and jumping all day long, her feet began to hurt. She decided to take her shoes off and rest her feet in the restroom, which was an outhouse. However, when she tried to put them back on, one of her shoes accidentally fell into one of the outhouse's holes.
Her sister, Maria, and a friend, Carmelita, tried to retrieve the shoe but with no success. By the time they loaded the bus, their clothes had gotten permeated with the smell of the outhouse. As they loaded the bus to go home, one of the students hollered at the top of his voice, "Quin Huele a Caca?"
Will the young Zita get in trouble for losing her shoe and getting all stinky at the same time? Her comical yet lesson-filled experience awaits young readers in "Quin Huele a Caca?" For more information on this book, log on to www.Xlibris.com.
