"The Two Reasons"

When we read the story of Job in the Bible, it is hard not to wonder how he was able to remain loyal to God when everything was going wrong. The same is evident in the life of Jesus, expressed through the gospels, where we ponder how Jesus can remain faithful to God while going through the crucifixion. Yet in the new Bible commentary, Job and Jesus -The Purpose of God and the Ways of God, author Ajibola Olaojo shows what these two personas of the Bible reveal of God's ways and purposes. Through handling trials in life, Job and Jesus both bare witness to the benefits of suffering, primarily in how the loving God won't abandon His children in any circumstance. Ajibola creates separate sections devoted to Job and Jesus, allowing the commentaries to unveil God's purposes and the miraculous legacies left by both of His children for others.
