Is always scarry to leave the things you have behind. Especially when those things make you happy and you have a great life. Your routine, your friends, and everything you know makes your life easy and nice. Raquel's First Day tells the story of an immigrant girl who moved from the country she was born, to a new city. Although, she was leaving behind her friends and her old happy life, she was very excited about the idea to meet new friends. Before school started, Raquel, had everything planned to a perfect first day of school. She spent the whole summer preparing herself for this great change. However, not everything occurred as she was expecting. Her life soon became different and unexpected things happened.
