"I spend most of my reading time wtih Newman's books" wrote the novelist Muriel Spark, who became a Catholic "by way of Newman". Realizations is Cardinal Newman's own selection of his greatest sermons, some of the finest ever composed. "To me," wrote Spark, "his voice never fails to start up, radioactive from the page." John Henry Newman is expected to be beatified in the near future.
